News / Dark Negative Anti-Social has been retired. [2006-2016]
« on: July 03, 2016, 13:11:27 »

Hello,

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Dark Negative Anti-Social. For 10 strong years we have continued to improve and develop as the time goes by; ever-evolving to stay relevant in a community that shifts perspective on a daily basis.  For years, we have maintained a very specific outlook and enforced high standards for our members, by only considering those who stood out from the crowd, the unique and multi-talented individuals who possess the skills and knowledge to one day become more than just clan members; who would go on to become important figures within the community, be it Moderators, Managers or even VC-MP Beta Testers - Dark Negative Anti-Social has always been that stepping stone for further accomplishment. We are very proud and privileged to have been able to offer such a service that not many clan members may actually by aware of, and in return we never asked for anything, it was our duty to make sure that only the best succeed whether it be in the clan or outside of it.

As times have changed, so has the clan; starting back in 2006, three talented players who's love of smoking cannabis and listening to hardcore trance music combined to form Dark Negative Anti-Social, a small clan that was created solely for the purpose of allowing three close friends to play games and chat together. From 2006 to 2016, DnA grew from having just 3 members to over 70 talented and professional clan members. We could of never predicted this to happen, and without the members we would never have succeeded.

I would like to personally thank every single past and present clan member, regardless of your status, your continued support and belief in the clan kept as alive for 10 years. We are forever grateful and we wish only the best for you in the future.

Unfortunately, as with everything, all good things must come to an end. We are no longer able to maintain the clan to the standards that we are happy with. The future of the community is not set in stone and neither are we, things are constantly changing, the player base is getting younger and younger by the day and the current generation of old timers and veteran players are moving on to bigger and better things. We cannot continue to stay relevant anymore in today's community and it's time for a younger generation to lead the way into the future, whether we like it or not, it's beyond our control to alter it.

With that said, it is with great sadness and regret that today we are announcing the retirement of Dark Negative Anti-Social. Today marks the beginning of the end for us. We have had such a fantastic time throughout the years, meeting and recruiting some of the best players this community has to offer and the privilege to share memories with the community and the clan is something that none of us will ever forget.

Thank you everyone for your support throughout the years, your kindness and friendship has propelled us from 'zero to hero'. Thank you to every player who voted for us to win Littlewhitey's Clan of the Year three times in a row! We will never forget you. Our past and present members can ride off into the sunset knowing that they were once part of one of VC-MP's longest running clans of all time.

Although we cannot predict the future, we would like to wish that the community once again regains its strength and stability and continues to impress, evolve and succeed well into the future. There may be a huge amount of pressure upon the younger generation and while the road ahead might be tough, we believe that you can do it with sheer determination and motivation of a better, greater and more advanced gaming community.

This week I will be closing the forum and a memorial page will be displayed instead of the forum. The memorial page will remain live until our server hosting comes to an end, which is completely up to Crys. Every member will be honoured on the memorial page and positive quotes will be added from anyone who wishes to leave one in this topic.

On behalf of myself, Darfy, Avenger, Baldachyn, Yaceq and the entire DnA clan roster, we thank you once again for everything and wish everyone the best in the future. I would like to personally thank the following people for their contributions to the clan;

Darfy: Thank you for everything you have done for the clan, your administration expertise has helped pave the way of the clan for many years. You are one of the best players I have ever had the privilege of becoming friends with. You have proved time and time again that you know what you are talking about and you have been detrimental to the success of the clan.

Avenger: Thank you Avenger, you are a fantastic guy who has made me laugh too many times to count, I always knew that you would be the perfect choice for clan administrator and I'm sure the original leaders would be proud to know that you are ranked amongst them as a Leader.

Baldachyn: You brought DnA back from the grave during its hiatus in 2010/2011 alongside Darfy and Yaceq - without you none of this would of continued today. It's a sad day to be retiring the clan, however we owe everything to you. You brought us back, turned it all around and proved again that DnA is a strong and formidable force in the community.

Smoke2joints: Although smoke has since left the clan and the community, the chances of smoke reading this are quite slim, regardless I would like to offer my apologises once more for the way things ended between us, I hope that one day we can talk again. Smoke, you have been in this clan since the very beginning, alongside oVeRdOsE, OpHiDiAn and Analbomb. You are the reason this clan has been successful, without you, we would of fallen coming out of the gate. Thank you for everything smoke.

Crys: Thank you for hosting the forum! You have allowed me to learn a hell of a lot! Designing and coding the forum has been fantastic, it's been my outlet for creativity and learning. I have gained a massive amount of skills that I will use in my future, thank you!

And finally, I would like to thank our leaders, oVeRdOsE, OpHiDiAn and Analbomb, if not for you guys, DnA wouldn't have existed! Although we haven't heard from you in years, we still remember you and hope you live great and fulfilling lives.

- Ryz, Darfy, Avenger, Baldachyn & Yaceq

"We are all thankfull and honored to have been part of DnA, but I just want my thank you out there.
Thank you to all past and present members for making DnA what it is, was, and forever will remain.
Lastly thank you to all the people of VCMP for keeping me around for so long."

 - habla

"To start things off, I must admit I can barely believe that this is happening. But as you said, it had to end sometime and it really fills me with great sadness even though this is just an internet gaming community. I've had fun being a member of DnA ever since the day I joined. Even though I was a member for only 2.5 years, I feel like I was treated as a veteran member of the clan. Sure, we had minor conflicts, but that doesn't get in the way of our times having fun. It also saddens me that I joined VCMP too late and didn't spend more time being a DnA, having more fun with the members, but still, it was enough. With that said, I don't know what more to say so I'm going to bid farewell to the clan. Thanks to everyone that showed me fun, helping me and supporting me in good and bad. Thank you for suppressing my frequent annoyance and thank you for accepting me in the clan warmheartedly. I really wish we had more fun times together, but it is what it is. I hope we will not lose contacts on Steam, IRC or VCMP. It's been an honor, and I don't regret a single second being a member of this clan."

 - Milko

"It's been a pleasure to work with you guys ...
Crys, Darfy, Ryz, Yaceq, Gudio, Baldachyn, Alphazor, Daren, Uzzaji, SaM, Ryne, Edga, Jellyfish, habla, dreLu, Milko, krystianoo, TaRRiF, Juan ... as well as many others. Wishing you the best of luck!"

 - Avenger

"Well, I didn't get a chance to say farewell to my clan-mates cause I have been busy into real life and stuff. Although myself & Abdi left the clan a few weeks ago, I couldn't stop thinking about DnA cause it was like family to me. Mainly the reason for me leaving the clan inactivity and real life issues. I really had great times with DnA members, specially Baldachyn, Darfy, Yaceq and Ryz. I remember playing with these guys when I started playing VCMP. Once I started playing this game, Baldachyn was always there to help me out with everything, he introduced me to basics of the game. We really had great moments together on Hunting Arena, Littlewhiteys and XAD, the memories which can't be forgotten.

I never took video games that seriously but VCMP became real part of my life due to DnA and its amazing members. DnA's members were always there whenever I needed anything, they treated me more than family and I wont forget that. I hope I didn't offend any of the members in the past, if I did I apologize for that. Just to let you know guys, you made me happy in my life, talking to you was my pleasure, I wont forget you ever.

My farewell to DnA current and past members, you wont be forgotten!"

 - Bryce

"I'm not much for writing goodbyes - hard to believe this is happening. Regardless, I joined this clan back in February of 2015 and have not regretted it ever since. The clan roster was as fitting as it could be; we all had fun together and despite the clan losing on activity around the time 0.4 released, we still managed to play 3 clanwars - had amazing fun at Gudio's TeamSpeak with the entire roster and Ryz; pretty much all the moments of my experience in DnA I can remind myself of are positive despite some things that happened - thank you to everybody from the current roster, and the past roster - you all made DnA remembered like it's remember currently by the community."

 - krystianoo

"I think this isnt much of a big deal even tho i think it was the best decision you guys did. DnA was more like a burden for older members who werent really playing the game it was more like a place to meet and talk. Since the most of us arent playing this outdated game anymore it makes total sense to close the clan. I can still talk to "some" of my old mates if i want its just that we all have to move on somewhere."

 - Abdi

"I just can't deny I'm feeling sad at this. How to say goodbye to something that has been part of many great times in your life?

This may sound a bit weird, but I'm 20 and still consider DnA as one of the best choices I've made. I do have played alot of online games and have been part of many communities but this was THE BEST. Absolutely no doubt about that. May you wondering - was it that important? Yes. At least for me. DnA helped me, much more than you think. I can say that thanks to DnA I am a decent on-line player now. You guys trusted me since the first day, giving me a chance to change myself and I can say I did. I will be always thankful for that. Also I've met great people here, people I admire to be honest. Anyways, everything has an end. Thank you DnA, for those fun and great moments I've had with you."

 - TaRRiF

"I saw that coming, really. Admins became advisors, Avenger was the only one active admin. We really could notice slow death incoming. People started leaving VC-MP community in 2014. We really had a mature players who, I guess, have grown enough to spend less time playing VC-MP or to leave.

Dark Negative Anti-Social was the clan I honestly wanted to be in. I have met a lot of great people. Playing and talking with them were pure pleasure. DnA was very likeable clan - top of LUNet channels. We did well for the community like others clan should do before retirement. Our responsibilities have been fulfilled properly."

 - Gudio

"It's hard to find the right words when you are saying good bye to something you had cared for.

Gives me chills to see the list of our past and present members, some of them long gone, makes me
wondering where life has led them.

DnA will remain more than just a clan in gaminng enviroment.
It´s been a great journey, lets do not forget the good moments of it."

 - Baldachyn

"Despite the fact that the clans been stagnant and we've all been fairly inactive over time, just reading this, it's hard to let go and realise it's finally coming to an end. I was really excited when Edga invited me and to my surprise (and baldachyn's lel) was accepted so quickly. I've met amazing people in the clan and early on it was perhaps the only reason I was somewhat active in VCMP. Wish everyone the best in whatever they choose to do and hope we'll all still stay in touch in one form or another. There have been some great memories in the clan and I'm glad I got to share that with you guys."

- Jellyfish

"Well actually i didnt expect it, and yeah its sad for me as well since this is the clan ive been in the most time. Its also pretty obvious this was 1 of the best clans in this game's history if not the best, I always liked the tag and that stuff since i started playing VCMP back in 08 and joined LW seeing those clans like KFJ DnA UST KoO etc....... never thought at that moment i could get in like i did.

I also liked this clan because of the people, that couldnt be greater also had mates that i was with in other clans in the past and shared a lot of good moments, so theres no much left to say it was an honour to be here and  thanks for everything current and past members.

See you DnA mates and see you ingame those who still play VCMP even tho it was funnier in older times and versions."

 - Juan

"Reading Ryz's text and all your posts brought tears to my eyes. Really... I was totally inactive last months, didn't take part in clan life but now I feel very sad, like I lost something. Something I loved.

Some can say it was only clan, virtual group of players. But definitely not for me. It was great adventure, joining DnA in 2006, reactivating it with Baladchyn and Darfy in 2010. BTW, if somebody had told me then that DnA would become so powerful clan in the following years, I wouldn't have believed. What happened later to DnA was unbelievable for me. But it's also thanks to Ryz, Crys and Avenger who cared about clan/forum/IRC.

I'd like to thank especially these guys mentioned above. You did great job, we wouldn't be in the place we were/are without you. Also thanks a lot to everybody who took part in this adventure, who helped us keeping clan alive, who represented us in VC-MP servers throughout these years. Thank you!

I asked myself what had made DnA so popular, so unique, so wonderful. It turned out to be very easy question. The answer is - YOU ALL, our DnA community. Looking into our roster bring me so many good memories. Old times in Littlewhitey's, organization of XAD League (thanks Gudio!), destroying nubs in XAD with RPG, organization of 0.1d and 0.2 events, having fun in-game and chatting on IRC... And it all with the best players in VC-MP. I can say more - not just players but friends, good friends. This made DnA so unique! We weren't just group of players killing others in game. We weren't only game clan. But also group of friends, who were/are here not only to play, but also to talk with each other and have fun.

I will never forget you."

2015 / Littlewhitey's Clan of the Year 2015 - Thank you!
« on: December 25, 2015, 12:04:14 »
For the third year in a row we have been voted littlewhitey's clan of the year, and may I just say that I am forever grateful to everyone who voted for us. This year has seen the rise in many new and upcoming clans and it seems as if every week a new clan is born, some of them are as deserving if not more deserving than us to win this award and for that we thank you for acknowledging our presence within the community.

On behalf of everyone at Dark Negative Anti-Social and for the third time in a row we thank you and accept the award for littlewhitey's Clan of the Year 2015!

And I would also like to personally thank each and every past and present member of the clan, regardless of your current status, without your contributions we would not be here today. DnA has a long history with VC-MP and littlewhitey's, which is why 2016 is a special year for us as Dark Negative Anti-Social will officially be 10 years old!

Thank you again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

2014 / Ryz & Baldachyn have left DnA
« on: October 04, 2014, 17:04:39 »
Ryz & Baldachyn have left the clan, for more information please see http://dnaclan.eu/index.php/topic,1026.0.html.

Baldachyn and myself have decided to step down due to a lack of time, interest and motivation for DnA. We have real-life responsibility which effect the amount of time and effort that we an provide for the clan and as such we feel that some new administrators would be vital to continue the success of the clan. We won't be disappearing, we will still be active around the forum and IRC and will help to advise the clan if needed and I will continue to maintain the forum.

We are both very proud to have been able to be a part of such a fantastic clan and we believe that the new admins have what it takes to keep the clan up and running.

Thanks and good luck to every single DnA member, without you DnA wouldn't be the clan that it is today.

2014 / Changes to Clan Administration | IMPORTANT
« on: October 04, 2014, 17:02:22 »
Effective from today, there will be some big changes to the administration of the clan:

Clan Administration:
  • Baldachyn and Ryz will be stepping down as Clan Administrators and becoming 'Advisors' for the clan, they will help out by giving advice if and when needed and will not be involved in the administration of the clan.
  • Ryz will primarily become a Webmaster for the forum and have no involvement with the administration of the clan.
  • Avenger will become a Clan Administrator/Leader for DnA and another member will be promoted as soon as a decision has been made.
  • Darfy and Yaceq will currently remain as Administrators unless stated otherwise.

Baldachyn and myself have decided to step down due to a lack of time, interest and motivation for DnA. We have real-life responsibility which effect the amount of time and effort that we an provide for the clan and as such we feel that some new administrators would be vital to continue the success of the clan. Thanks and good luck to every single DnA member, without you DnA wouldn't be the clan that it is today.

Congratulations to Avenger - DnA's newest Clan Administrator!

2014 / Testers Needed for Theme!
« on: March 29, 2014, 10:39:51 »
I'm currently looking for alpha testers for a theme I've been working on called Zion. If you are interested in helping me out, please contact me on the forum (reply to this topic or PM) or via IRC. I plan on releasing the theme for free upon completion and your name will be added on the list of testers.

As a tester you will be required to test out everything and report any bugs (or suggestions) to me.

I'll be looking for more testers as I progress with more themes. I have 3 themes currently under construction at the moment, 2 of them I plan to release for free and a new one called Omega which will be a whole new theme for the DnA Forum.

For theme previews and change logs please visit: http://dnaclan.eu/wip/

Thanks!

2014 / Forum Update
« on: February 04, 2014, 16:28:13 »
Hey,

So I've recently updated the forum with the new theme. It's basically 95% complete, just a few things to add and change but its ready enough to be used.

There will be a few changes here and there but none of which should really effect anyone.

If you do encounter any problems let me know.

If you prefer to use the old theme you can still use it via look and layout. I will continue to keep 2.0 updated for those who wish to use it.

The Contract Challenge / The Contract Challenge (2012 - 2013)
« on: October 08, 2013, 11:33:42 »

The Contract Challenge commonly shortened to TCC, was a VC-MP event designed in 2012 by Ryz and Anonymous. The event started as a simple idea which originated from the multiplayer mode known as Contracts in Hitman Absolution.

The event was also an experiment to see what would happen when participants such as clan mates and friends turn against each other in an effort to win the event reward.

The Contract Challenge was the first event in the TCC series which started on December 08, 2012 and ran for 36 days, ending on January 13, 2013. The first event was a beta test to determine if such an event could even work in VC-MP. The event had 27 participants, 1 winner and 2 runner ups. The prize reward for the winner was $1,000,000 cash reward in Littlewhiteys Server, $500,000 for second place and $125,000 for third place. Baldachyn was the winner of the first event, with SaM and WiLsOn in second and third place. The format for the event was to kill 10 randomly generated targets and send a picture of each kill to Anonymous.

After the pictures were received a new target would of be sent to the participant until all 10 targets have been killed. The beta test required each participant to use a specific weapon or vehicle for each kill and the condition for each kill increased in difficult after every kill.

The Blood Money Challenge is the second event in the series of TCC. The event started on March 16, 2013 and finished on April 19, 2013. The second event followed the same format as the beta, however instead of 10 targets, the paricipants must eliminate 40 targets and the list of targets are no longer sent in privacy, meaning all participants could see each others lists. The experiment in this event was to see what would occur if all participants had knowledge of each others targets.

The prize for this event was $2,000,000 for the first participant who could kill all 40 targets. Gudio managed to successfully kill all 40 targets and was awarded the prize money.

For the first time, The Blood Money Challenge included additional goals which could be completed and would unlock an achievement. These achievements were not a requirement and did not need to be completed in order to win.

This event also was designed to work with multiple servers which included both Littlewhitey's and Extreme Addicts server. A fully scripted echo bot was created to 'watch' over each server echo and record the results for each participant and then it would auto-update the leaderboard, however this feature was still under construction and never made it into the final version.

The Blood Money Challenge was an ambitious upgrade to its predecessor which had a different approach than the first event, however issues with the original scripted echo bot, lack of targets in timezones for each participant and other issues eventually deemed the event unplayable and it was closed down and eventually retired on October 08, 2013.

Today, Smoke2jointS has decided to leave DnA. Smoke2jointS has been a member of DnA for over 7 years and it is very sad to see such a respected member of the DnA community leave us.

Good luck to Smoke2jointS.
